Kathie Anderson is a Churchwarden and represents the parish on the Henley Deanery Synod.

Churchwardens are nominated by parishioners present at their annual meeting, usually held in April.

The role of a churchwarden is an ancient office, but in today's times the office calls for a mix of legal, spiritual, pastoral and administrative responsibilites.

Kathie Anderson - Churchwarden

Kathie Anderson

Kathie Anderson was nominated as a churchwarden at the meeting of parishioners on 26 April 2016. She was born in Ryde, Isle of Wight. A few short moves led the family to Reading where they lived for 11 years. It was while working for Berkshire County Council as a draughtswoman that she came to meet David, who worked in a different department.

When her family moved to Sussex, Kathie became involved with the village churchin Hurstpierpoint, mainly as a tower bell ringer and in handbell ringing. It was at this church that she married David before setting up home in Peppard, where they spent 45 very happy years before moving to Sonning Commmon in 2012. They have a daughter who is now married and lives in Derbyshire and a son who lives in Suffolk.

Kathie has spent a number of years on the Rotherfield Peppard PCC and represents the parish on the deanery synod. Her main interests after family and church are gardening, and gardens, canvas-work and embroidery.
